Veraison Time!

Veraison is in full swing in our vineyard! Veraison is the vineyard stage when our wine grapes transition from green growth to ripening, officially marked by a change in berry color. Red grapes turn red, purple, or blue, while white grapes shift to translucent gold or yellow. Color change occurs as chlorophyll breaks down and gives way to anthocyanins or carotenoids. The grapes soften, losing their hard, firm texture and swell as they take in water. Sugar increases, acid decreases, balancing the profile of the future wine. We are excited to see what the 2026 harvest produces!
